What is FIITJEE’s Grand Masters Package? When can we 2023

FIITJEE’s Grand Master Package (GMP) is an ideal tool for the ultimate finish!

  1. GMP is a compilation of the best questions from books all over India and outside. It also comprises questions formed by FIITJEE itself.

If we talk about physics particularly, then it has questions based on or directly derived from books like:

  1. I.E. IRODOV
  2. Krotov
  3. 200 puzzling problems(Cambridge University)

And so on.

The level of the questions is more difficult than IIT-JEE Advanced in general.

It is because if you aim to reach the moon, only you can climb a tree. But you’ll remain on the ground if you aim to climb a tree.

However, the pattern of questions is strictly based on IIT-JEE, only the difficulty level is higher. The aim is to improve students’ skills beyond the unpredictable IIT-JEE Advanced examinations.

The collection of questions in GMPs can rarely be found in one book in India.

2. GMPs are given to only those enrolled in FIITJEE classroom programs or those enrolled at FIITJEE for GMPs.

3. GMPs are provided to students in December, January, or February. The dates may vary from center to center or city to city.

Fiitjee’s grand master package (or GMP as it is usually known) is a complete set of four books dealing with some advanced-level problems of jee in physics, chemistry and mathematics, along with a book that provides all the hints and solutions for all three subjects.

These books are usually provided by the institute in January or February only, and only when you provide your JEE application number to the institute.
It is a very good package, especially for students aiming for a good rank in jee advance, but as I have mentioned earlier, this package is provided in the months when we are busy with our board’s practicals and preparation and so have less time to study this package.
But it’s all up to the students to make a perfect timetable and come out with flying colours.
I hope this helps you all.

If you cleared the IIT Advanced recently, which material did you cover, and how much % did you complete? It can be Allen/FIITJEE/Resonance/Bansal, textbooks, problem books, rank boosters, etc. What rank did you get?

I got AIR 1641 in JEE Advanced.

I did my coaching at Resonance Udaipur.

Percentage of coaching material I completed. (approx)

Physics- 80–90% (my favorite subject)

Mostly just skipped Ex1 and Mains level DPPs as I was good at it. But did the Ex2,3 questions advance DPPs and previous year questions? (In rare cases, HLPs)

Maths-35-40%

And I paid the price. It was my best subject up to 10th grade and my weakest subject at JEE.

One of the reasons I skipped most maths was that our teacher was relaxed at all, And I tend to skip things unless someone tells me to do so.

I skipped the module questions in most of the 11th and 11th. Realizing my impending doom in math, I started doing module questions in 12th grade, which at least helped me get some math in JEE. Still, I didn’t do the DPPs at all.

Although I did improve my maths slightly during the lockdown and solved the DPPs, they gave them before JEE.

What is FIITJEE’s Grand Masters Package? When can we 2023

Chemistry —

Organic- 65–70% (skipped some things in class 11th)

Physical: – 80–90% (thanks to our sir, who was strict in this matter)

Inorganic— 50% (talking about the mugging up part only)

Solving questions didn’t affect me much because, in the end, it all came down to mugging, which I was good at.

Now here’s the best part:

  • Extra Books I Bought vs. Percentage Solved
  • I.e. Irodov
  • I 1 whole question.
  • H.C. Verma Part 1
  • Solved zero questions
  • A. Das Gupta Maths
  • Solved 1 chapter.
  • S.L. Loney Trigonometry
  • Solved 0 questions.

All of them are still in mint condition.

Moral of the story- Coaching material is more than enough. First, complete it in its entirety, then move to other books.

Is FIITJEE GMP helpful for JEE preparation?

Thanks for A2A.
FIITJEE GMP is useless for JEE preparation. Let me tell you about my experience. I still remember when I gave the JEE Mains paper and returned home; I was more or less satisfied with my performance because I scored less than expected based on my performance in the FIITJEE Mock Tests (around 315–320).

Though I was sad because I had committed silly errors worth 15–20 marks, I was still happy. So that day, after checking various answer keys, my parents decided to go for a family dinner so that I get distracted from this scenario of answer keys and rank predictors.

After returning, I decided to start my full-fledged JEE Advanced preparation the next day, and I didn’t solve FIITJEE GMP before JEE Mains because I wanted to do it in the gap between JEE Mains and Advanced. The next day, I started with the math GMP.

What is FIITJEE’s Grand Masters Package? When can we 2023

When I started solving it, I realized the questions were too tough, and I could hardly solve 5–6 questions in 3 hours. Even the solutions involved using various theorems and techniques beyond the JEE syllabus.

I consulted my teachers after this, and they told me to stay away from GMP and instead do review packages or some other books because I had hardly 40–45 days, and I couldn’t waste those on solving these problems that will never come in JEE. After that, I focused on my weak points; I completed the FIITJEE Archive again, solved Review Packages and RTPF, and asked for more material from my teachers.

So, all in all, FIITJEE GMP is not meant for JEE. Even if you expect a top 500 or 100 rank, it will also be useless for you, wasting your time.

What makes the difference if 90 percent of JEE aspirants are solving the same books, including the top rankers?

Hi there!! Yes, you are right, bhai. 90% or more of JEE aspirants solve the same books. Additionally, even the study materials of almost all coaching institutions are nearly the same. even the questions in the exercises. But still, you know there is a lot of difference between students. I think this is because:

  1. Some need to solve the material given by their coaches.
  2. Some only solve 30–40% of it, and that too only the beginning questions of each chapter. These questions only give an idea of the chapter and must be more specific for JEE MAINS standards.
  3. Some students are demanding and leave units because they dislike them or find it difficult. For example, one of my friends left the whole mechanism portion in organic chemistry. It is normal to find some chapters difficult (for instance, Rigid Body Dynamics), but leaving it is not worth it. At least he learns all the formulae and solves the material, even after taking enormous help from teachers. It helps in the long run. It helped me.
  4. Some students tend to skip total inorganic chemistry. It certainly affects one’s rank.
  5. Some answer most of the questions but do not ask those who they have doubts about. It pulls them back in rankings. It happened in JEE MAINS with me. So in JEE ADVANCED, I went after clearing all the doubts, and my rank improved by 500, and I could see an improvement in my performance.

What is FIITJEE’s Grand Masters Package? When can we 2023

  • This is all I observed while studying for JEE. There are some things I would like to share with you regarding JEE preparations which I have tried and helped me a lot.
    • Do NOT neglect any subject. I have seen my friends failing in JEE this year due to it. We all were of the same level, but because they neglected chemistry or physics, they got ranked around 6k and 8k in JEE ADVANCED.
    • Try your best to study all chapters. The best way is to do every homework on time and keep everything from pending.
    • Pay attention to inorganic chemistry, thinking it’s too big to learn. Yes, it is a bit lengthy, but it is easy to learn if you learn the thing taught on the same day. If you do so, you will find it very scoring, and you will score 20 to 30 marks more than students of your level. That’s at least 500 ranks better.
    • If anything becomes pending, first complete the same day’s tasks, and after that, do the pending work but never leave it.
    • Be very sure about learning formulae, even if you can derive them. It saves time. You might get time for 3 more questions at the end of the paper if you learn the formulae.
    • Do NOT sleep in the afternoon. If it does not ruin your paper 2, it surely makes you score less than you could have.
    • If time is left, revise notes and formulae and do exercises on covered chapters.
    • Keep revising inorganic and organic chemistry.
    • Do NOT leave tough chapters. Try to do them in any way possible. Take as much help as you want but do complete them. It will get you 1 question extra from students of your level.

Feel free to ask anything.

Thank-you.

What is the level of fiitjee packages?

  • So I will cover three aspects of the FIITJEE STUDY MATERIAL (so-called Package; let the world know you have some class! !!): its management, quality, and quantity. Let’s Begin;
  • Management and Distribution Generally, FIITJEE divides the whole year’s syllabus into 4 phases, and the Package of one phase is distributed at once as a whole ( 4 times a year), as it doesn’t get delayed, so you are always ready beforehand.
  • Quantity: You generally receive four types of study material ;
  • Chapterwise Booklets
  • 3 booklets of workbooks each of PCM with every phase for revision of the phase syllabus; these only contain questions as theory is already covered in the chapter books.
  • After each phase, a phase test is conducted (weekly and special tests for the top batches only).
  • Review Package for JEE Main and Advance after Course Completion
  • And then the most famous GMP with a solution book
  • RTPF test papers for final preparation and AITS (All India Test Series) are also conducted side by side. Both JEE Main and Advanced papers are conducted in AITS on consecutive days.
  • MyPat online test series is also available if you have paid for it at FIITJEE ( It covers all competitive exams like KVPY, NTSE, and JEE).
  • The quantity is way more than that provided at other coaching institutes (like Bansal Classes, I have studied there).

What is FIITJEE’s Grand Masters Package? When can we 2023

  • Now talking about quality.
  • The quality of questions in the booklets is undoubtedly one of the best you can get. Chapterwise, the booklets start with a nice theory.
  • Next, you encounter micro exercises after covering a compiled part of the theory.
  • After Theory completion, many solved examples, both subjective and objective, are given.
  • And the evergreen chapter at a Glance
  • Then comes the concluding exercises, which start with Chapter Practice Problems (CPPs), Followed by subjective and Objective exercises, which are divided into Level One and Level Two (again a good part)
  • Workbooks, GMP and Revision packages are all questions. Bank types and quality is bound to be good owing to their immense popularity.
  • So now, the final verdict is, This Package is undoubtedly more than enough to crack any exam in the field of Science and engineering. But painting Light cannot light you; you should ignite it from inside by yourself; in the same way, this Package is only possible if you end up solving it partially or not revising from time to time.
  • It’s one’s hard work that only matters and not the coaching, So it’s better to invest time in yourself than invest it in deciding the apex coaching or study material. Remember that there are always two sides to the same coin.
  • All the best grand masters package

Should I do the FIITJEE GMP for the JEE Mains amidst the lockdown?

Fiitjee GMP is NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED FOR Jee MAINS.
It’s not even recommended for Jee Advanced.
It has some of the toughest questions and must be done only if you are genuinely interested in that subject. Otherwise, solving GMP at the last moment wastes time and confidence.
If you are preparing exclusively for mains now, all you have to do is last year’s papers in test format with detailed analysis.
You can also give mock tests online (imbibe )
If you are preparing in advance, I only recommend you solve gaps in chemistry. Solving GMP-level physics and especially math is of no use.
All the best. Stay confident and work hard. grand masters package

Is doing FIITJEE packages, workbooks, Mains and advanced archives, review packages and GMP religiously enough for the JEE Mains and Advanced?

Originally Answered: Is doing fiitjee packages, workbooks, Mains and advanced archives, review packages and GMP religiously enough for JEE Mains and advanced?
I was a student in a two-year classroom program at FIIT-JEE Bhilai. I think that solving Fiitjee packages and workbooks requires a great deal of hard work as they cover a variety of concepts, and every question contains good use and application of logic and concepts.

Solving it will surely enhance your problem-solving skills and help you develop self-confidence. It is more than enough for practice. But I also recommend you solve problems only after covering the concepts of any chapter properly. For revision, GMP and Archives are great sources.

Did you solve the FIITJEE packages completely?

I guess no one will ever. Some problems are a real bore. And some problems are just calculations.
But I did solve 95% of it. See, when you prepare for JEE, it is a necessary fact that you solve as many questions as possible.
That being said, many of the questions in the packages are pretty good and standard. It will benefit you greatly if you try to solve all of them.

How is the FIITJEE RTPF?

FIITJEE RTPF is one of the best study materials which FIITJEE offers.
As it is made from previous years’ AITS papers, it has an amazing collection of problems for all three PCMs. One must go through those papers. If you do not have enough time, go through the solutions. Even that can add a lot to your preparation. The difference between those who have solved RTPF and those who haven’t can be marked by how they approach some problems or, rather, those tricky ones.

Which is more advisable to solve, a review booklet for the JEE Advanced, GMP, or both (FIITJEE)?

As the name suggests, review booklets are more of a question package to revise old topics you may have forgotten over the years.
Use review booklets if

  1. You must revise a specific chapter/topic you must remember.
  2. You are weak in a particular topic, and you want to get your basic concepts of that topic covered, nothing more than that.
GMP is more useful if you aim for the top 1000, but I suggest you use it wisely. Only some things in it are relevant for JEE. Don’t spend time solving those irrelevant problems. Otherwise, Except for that irrelevant stuff, it’s a great collection of brainstorming problems. You can always rely on GMP to strengthen your thinking skills, computation power, and more. These things are essential for a top 1000 finish in JEE Advanced. To clear things off,
Go for the GMP with closed eyes if you have all your basics covered and are aiming for a top 1000 finish.
Otherwise, go for the review booklet if you are not confident and still struggling with some topics.

Does being in the top batch in FIITJEE guarantee a selection in IIT-JEE? – grand masters package

Not in a million years.

FIITJEE is simply a coaching institute. They are good, but they cannot guarantee a selection for IIT-JEE like any other coaching institute.

FIITJEE has some fantastic benefits: grand masters package

  1. The overall student pool is large: therefore, one gets a highly competitive environment. It helps in benchmarking oneself to many students across multiple centres.
  2. The classroom/batch size is small: therefore, one can get personalized attention. I was at FIITJEE Kanpur from 2011 to 2013 for my JEE preparation, and the best thing was that the batch had at most 35 students. Some other institutes in the city have batches larger than 1000 students. Yes, you read it correctly – batches larger than 1000 students. The teachers in such institutes teach in an auditorium via a microphone.
  3. The study material is quite good: I have seen the study material of multiple institutes, including Resonance, Bansal, Allen, etc. FIITJEE’s content/material is undoubtedly some of the best and most comprehensive. I especially like the GMP, which contains many problems, many of which are above the JEE level. It is super helpful for folks aiming for a top 500 rank.
  4. The test series is highly competitive: the FIITJEE test series is notoriously difficult. That might not be good for many people, but if I could be in the top 100, FIITJEE AITS helped me get a top 50 rank. The FIITJEE AITS was super difficult, and I also scored average (in absolute terms). So, I pushed myself to score better and solve tougher problems, which helped me improve in JEE.

There are some things that FIITJEE cannot offer:

  1. No guarantee of selection, irrespective of the batch. No coaching institute can provide this.
  2. Some of the teachers in your centre may need to be better, and you cannot do much about it.
  3. Like any other coaching institute, FIITJEE is a for-profit organization. Inherently, all such institutes are designed to attract many students, most of whom will not get selected for JEE. So, if you have the potential to achieve a top 100 rank, you’d have to go beyond the FIITJEE teachers and make your way. The teachers are capable, but a top 100 rank in JEE Advanced requires a different frame of mind and effort.

My final comments:

  1. Focus on self-study.
  2. Please do not rely on the coaching teachers, be it FIITJEE or any other. It is your career. Whether or not you get selected for JEE, the coaching institute will make money via the fee. Consider that your teachers are guard rails who will show you the track/direction, but remember that you are the train’s driver, not your teacher.
  3. Work hard. There is no substitute for hard work. There are no shortcuts to success in JEE. You must do all the boring things – read books, make notes, solve many problems, and repeat. grand masters package

I have FIITJEE GMP. Should I solve it now?

The FIITJEE Grand Masters’ Packages certainly have a large collection of challenging and immersive questions, but I strongly recommend that you do not use them to prepare for the IIT-JEE.

Although the GMPs contain brilliantly set questions, they are not meant for standard JEE preparation. Instead, the questions are a mixture of various topics and theories, which is best for olympiad preparation. If interested, consider attacking the GMPs after taking the JEE. However, I found the theory in the GMPs short and crispy, which helped with a quick revision.

  • On the other hand, the JEE Advanced Archives are ideal practice material for you. They will give you an idea of the length, pattern, and overall type of questions you might face in the exam.
  • Next, consider the Rankers’ Test Paper Files(RTPFs). Although they seem slightly harder than the previous years’ JEE questions, they are significantly more useful than the GMPs, considering they give you a rough estimate of your speed and accuracy.
  • Try writing the occasional AITS. Although the questions are beyond the level of the JEE, they will give you the feel of taking a JEE advanced test and help you adjust to the schedule before the final exam.

How are the FIITJEE review packages? Are they better than resonance rank boosters for the FIITJEE GMP? Do they contain problems of greater difficulty than those asked in JEE Advanced? Are they the best possible source of revision for JEE if I am a FIITJian?

How are Fiitjee’s review packages?

They are good.

Are they better than GMP or resonance material?

About resonance, I don’t know.

But they are better than GMP in the sense of relevance for Jee (review packages have better sums that can be helpful for Jee than GMP).

Do they contain problems more challenging than Advanced?

Yes. in fact, I found them a bit too tough.

The Mains package was slightly less than the Advanced standard, and the Advanced was 1.5 times the difficulty level of Jee.

Are they the best source of revision?

I doubt so, though I still need to solve it completely.

The physics review package is good; the math was okayish.

They are good and have tough sums; it’s up to you to choose whether the level suits you, as one must not do things beyond their capabilities now, nor should they solve sums that are quite easy for them now.

All the best! grand masters package

What is the level of FIITJEE GMP?

Best for JEE Advanced Revision, they said; well said.
GMP (Grand Masters Package) is a collection of brief formulas and concepts with around 300–400 unsolved problems (self-assessments).
We can break it into two parts. The first one is the simple formulae and some concepts, along with solved examples that are of an advanced level.
The second part is what it is meant for. The unsolved problems with single correct, multiple correct, matrix match, integer type, passage-based, and some subjective type.
As far as I went, physics and chemistry GMP helped me a lot.
Mathematics GMP should only be touched in the last few weeks, as it is too time-consuming.
Be sure to get a GMP solution package. Tough answers are given in the respective GMPs.
It sometimes goes beyond the advanced level, so be wise about when to let go of it, especially in math.
